Bob Tulloch from Inverness

IMG 6812

Bob Tulloch was born in Shetland, and now lives at Knocknagael near Inverness. He remembers watching Dai Daniels doing a demonstration with a black dog with mottled legs, when he was a boy. I met with Bob at the 2011 Tain International, and again at the 2014 World Trial. He got in touch as he had trial programmes for the ISDS Sheepdog Archive. He had been given them by a shepherd who had collected them. There are International programmes, Scottish National programmes and Local Trial programmes from all over the north of Scotland, as well as early ISDS newsletters.

The Local Trial programmes are displayed below and show many well known trialling names from the past. In Nairn in 1950, the judge was J. M. Wilson and he gave a demonstration at lunchtime.
